This is your opportunity to explore much of the Netherlands and be in awe of its beauty without worrying that you’ll soon end up penniless. Stay in the country for at least a year and serve as an au pair for a local family. This role involves huge responsibilities, mainly caring for children. You might consider yourself fun-loving and patient, but a sense of responsibility and previous experience are more necessary to be the perfect candidate for this job. You will work for up to 30 hours each week, doing light housework and tending to the kids. Eligibility for this full-time position includes: - Be between 18 and 30 with at least a high school diploma (female au pairs are placed quickly, while male au pairs can be placed on an as-requested basis) - Hold a passport from the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand - Have previous childcare/babysitting experience with references and a genuine love of children - Provide a statement of health, background check, and 3 references - Be interviewed by phone or Skype to be accepted by the family - Be able to commit to 10-12 months as an au pair
