- Cost of living – In Prague, rent for a room in a shared flat is about $400–$700/month. Outside the capital, it can be half that. Public transport is cheap, and local food spots are very wallet-friendly.
- Currency – The local money in the Czech Republic is the Czech koruna (CZK), not the euro. You’ll get used to calculating conversions pretty quickly. Most places take cards, but always carry a bit of cash.
