Working in one of the Championship Golf Clubs in New Zealand
November 23, 2025by: Justus Theodor Christiansen - GermanyWhen I arrived in New Zealand in September, I was welcomed incredibly warmly. The accommodation in Auckland was great, and there were many people who were about to start the same adventure, which made it very easy to make connections quickly. I also received a lot of help when buying my car, which I really appreciated. About a week and a half after arriving, I drove to my job with my car. I was welcomed just as warmly at the golf club. everyone showed me around, explained how everything works, and introduced me to the place where I would be living. Two days later, I had a wonderful first induction day, and ever since, everyone has been extremely kind and supportive. On my days off, I also had plenty of time to explore the surroundings and do a few activities.

I can’t recommend Oyster enough!
January 03, 2025by: Josh MitchellProgram: Work and Travel in New Zealand
Oyster have been amazing to me. Originally I had planned to go to Whistler for a ski season however, my Visa didn’t arrive in time. I was able to transfer to one of Oyster’s New Zealand programmes and I’m having a fantastic time so far. Sami and Georgie were so helpful when helping me sort everything out. If you are looking to do any kind of gap year I can’t recommend Oyster enough!
Amazing experience
March 21, 2023by: Lucy Kavanagh - United KingdomBeing the first time I’d gone overseas on my own I was nervous and not sure where to start. I had multiple communications with Internex via online calls and emails, in which they provided all information I needed and reassured me on the uncertainties I had. As someone who loves the outdoors, Internex found the perfect job for me as a lifeguard at a beautiful location in the South Island of New Zealand. I’ve made great friends since being here and been able to do loads of travelling around the South Island. Even since arriving they have assisted me with bank accounts etc and I cannot fault the communication one bit. I would not hesitate to recommend Internex to friends and family as well as anyone looking to spend time abroad. With work and accommodation sorted and help with visas, bank accounts, insurance etc. it really has been a completely stress free, exciting experience.

I signed up for work holiday in New Zealand with a friend, and my trip coordinator was Kim Olsen. She was very helpful and friendly through out my entire process leading up to New Zealand, when I arrived in Auckland, and during my journey on the ground. Kim was always available via email or phone call and always reminded us that she was there to help, she made me feel like I had support even in my most confused moments. Thank you, Kim! :)) I've been in New Zealand for a little over a month and so far am enjoying my experience, and I still have some excursions left to do that is offered through Global Work and Travel. :)) Pros: Meet new people also in the programme Built in excursions and tours Help setting up cell phone service and bank account
