Journalism Jobs Abroad

It may come as no surprise, but the world is rapidly expanding and new avenues for career and professional opportunities are opening every day. Not too long ago, going abroad meant either studying in a foreign country or working as an English-language instructor, two pathways that are still viable and in-demand, but which cater to a rather specific set of skills. Nowadays, meaningful travel opens up possibilities for work or study in fields ranging from agriculture and art history to web design—and journalism jobs abroad are just as much a part of that development!

Great working holiday tour

by: Kaitlyn Clark - United StatesProgram: Sydney Intro Tour & Paid Working Holiday in Australia
10

I recently completed the Sydney Gap Year tour with Working Holiday Guide, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! As someone embarking on a working holiday in Australia, this tour was the perfect introduction to life Down Under. The entire experience was seamless, from the moment I landed in Sydney to the end of the tour. The team at Working Holiday Guide really thought of everything. They organized a smooth airport transfer and set us up in comfortable, centrally located accommodation, which made it easy to explore the city. The tour itinerary was fantastic, offering a great mix of practical sessions and fun activities. We had informative sessions on essential topics like setting up a bank account, applying for a tax file number, and job-hunting tips, which were incredibly helpful for settling in. The guided tours around Sydney were a highlight. We visited iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, and the Harbour Bridge, and even got to discover some of the city’s hidden gems. The tour leaders were knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to answer any questions we had. What made this experience truly special was the sense of community it fostered. I met fellow travelers from all around the world, and we quickly formed a tight-knit group. Whether we were sharing meals, exploring the city, or just hanging out, there was always a great vibe. The friendships I made on this tour are ones I know will last well beyond my time in Australia. If you’re considering a working holiday in Australia, the Sydney Gap Year tour with Working Holiday Guide is the best way to start your adventure. It’s well-organized, informative, and incredibly fun—everything you could want to kick off your year in Australia!
