Best Locations
Whether you are after the mountain air, or the opportunity to see the sea every day, there is something in Spain for you.
The Balearics. The Balearics are popular locations for those looking for beaches and parties. Made up of four islands with vastly different characters. Ibiza is known worldwide for being the location for those looking to dance the night away with top DJs in attendance, while Majorca is one of the most popular tourist destinations for Europeans. Mallorca is known as a family destination, while Formentera is Spain's off-the-path destination.
The Canaries.Tenerife,Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura are made up of volcanoes, beaches, and plenty of resort jobs. If you want somewhere with plenty to explore, great food, and awe inspiring nature then the Canaries should be your top choice for a resort job in Spain.
Costa Brava. If you want to experience the relaxed Spanish way of life, and be where the Spanish themselves holiday, then get a resort job in the Costa Brava. It is a great location to explore the rest of Spain and to perfect your imperfect tense. Jobs here tend to be more seasonal, but there is a reason workers come back season, after season.

GoAbroad’s Inside Scoop
Language. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world. So, open a world of job opportunities as well as having a job of your dreams as you learn. Working at a resort is a great way to pick up Spanish (and other languages). Practice with guests, and if your free time head away from the resort and mingle with the locals. Not only will you develop soft skills to add to your CV, you will have a language under your belt. There is no value that can be attached to that.
Fiesta. Spain has one of the longest life expectancy in Europe. And this is often put down to the Spanish lifestyle which fiestas are an important part of. While working in Spain, make sure you attend a traditional Spanish fiesta and get into the party spirit. Luckily, fiestas happened regularly in Spain.
If you’re not sure what to do this summer, but want to do something a little bit different then consider working in a resort in Spain. Whether you are a budding comedian, can make anyone into a superstar with a makeup brush, or the next Anthony Bourdain in the kitchen, there is a resort job in Spain to suit your skill set.
Don’t siesta on these opportunities! Keep researching jobs abroad in Spain.

Great experience, friendly people

I spent one month doing an internship. All of the staff were really friendly and they gave me a lot of freedom and responsibilities in my tasks. The school is located in the best area of Bilbao and at a 30 min metro distance from the beach! Being part of a young, international and dynamic marketing team I am learning a lot more than just Spanish. Having a German supervisor makes things go as smooth as possible.
The application process was fairly simple!

As there was always someone to inform me or for me to ask if I had any difficulties. Once I arrived to my destination, as they were already expecting me the process was smooth and I was shown where I would be staying and given a brief guide on where and what I would be doing. I greatly enjoyed my internship and the bar work exceeded my expectations. The work was enjoyable and very social as I was able to meet hundreds of people every day and there was events to make things more interesting. Initially I expected to do some basic cooking but much to my surprise as summer started there were fun weekly events such as the barbecue and paella evenings which were held outside on the terrace. As about the accommodation - the room was spacious and included sufficient space for all my belongings and alongside this included a table and some other shelves and drawers and a large floor space. The beds were clean and I was able to change my own sheets whenever I felt necessary. I have definitely achieved my goal which was to develop my Spanish speaking skills. At first I was unable to speak and on some occasions dealing with colleagues and customers proved difficult. But without a doubt I can say I had a fantastic summer and made some amazing friends who I have already planned to meet with again. My Spanish ability is considerably better as I feel confident to hold a conversation on a variety of topics and work in a Spanish speaking environment with minimal problems. The area itself was a beautiful place and on my days off I used the opportunity to visit the tourist sites, but also as I spoke and got to know local people, I discovered lesser known areas such as a nearby fishing spot only 20 minutes away from the city centre. All my expectations were satisfied and even more. The living conditions that the hotel offered us were very good and comfortable. I met people from all over the world and experiences and emotions were wonderful. The experience I gained there was very useful for my future and the profession I have been focusing on.

If you are looking to improve your Spanish skills, this is the place to go. Bilbao is the safest place I have ever lived in my life. Our group got along great and I really enjoyed making friends with the international students that also attended Instituto Hemingway. Instituto regularly schedules cultural events, and we attended nearly all of them. Languages and traveling are probably two of my favorite things in life so I absolutely had the time of my life studying abroad and am making plans to return (hopefully to live) as soon as possible. Bilbao is a great city for making new friends and trying new things. During my time in Spain I explored cultural differences and their social and historical causes and my knowledge of the Spanish language increased in a way that it never could have had I not been so utterly immersed in it. Travelling around Spain and Europe in general is so cheap! Please do it and have your headquarters in Bilbao in Northern Spain
