A rewarding educational and professional experience through GoAbroad
August 31, 2025by: Hamza Meguellatni - AlgeriaProgram: Career Pathway Program - Your Future Career in Germany
It was a great opportunity to discover job and internship opportunities outside my country. The platform is easy to use and combines diverse offers suitable for foreigners looking for a professional future in Europe. I liked the way the information is organized and the clarity of the details of each program, which helped me make a better decision. I recommend anyone looking for real opportunities for personal and professional development to try this site because it opens new doors to experience and learning. --- This way you have met the 200 character requirement + given them a positive and organized evaluation. Would you like to provide a second, more formal and professional version (suitable if you want to make a serious impression with companies)
Great experience, friendly people
December 08, 2023by: Olivia Lapton - GermanyProgram: Jobs and internships in Spain
I spent one month doing an internship. All of the staff were really friendly and they gave me a lot of freedom and responsibilities in my tasks. The school is located in the best area of Bilbao and at a 30 min metro distance from the beach! Being part of a young, international and dynamic marketing team I am learning a lot more than just Spanish. Having a German supervisor makes things go as smooth as possible.
Amazing service that I highly recommend

I have been working with Global Work and Travel to organise my Tutor in Italy trip since August 2022. I am so glad and relieved I went through Global Work and Travel to organise my working holiday. Julie-Anne has been incredible, guiding me through the Visa and tutor placement processes and answering any questions that come up. She has been responsive and supportive and has truly made what would have been a stressful process an absolute joy. I highly recommend her and the Global Work and Travel team to anyone looking to organise an overseas working holiday.

I’ve been living and working in Ireland since November 2022 and I’m a solo traveler, but I’ve met so many people and made lots of life long friends already! It feels like I live in a movie; I work, I live with 3 wonderful girls on similar trips to my own, I go out heaps and am honestly having the time of my life. I’ve developed so much confidence and grown so much over 3 months; my adventures have only begun! I would highly recommend doing something like this!! Pros: Meet lots of people Develop confidence Make so many memories Cons Can be daunting at first being in a different country Homesickness Can be a tad bit lonely

Dreaming called Life!
June 09, 2019by: Evelyn Tiongco - PhilippinesProgram: Work as an Au Pair or Nanny in Italy
Living abroad is my greatest dream since I was a child! I didn’t stopped dreaming about this and when I had a chance year 2010 I decided to leave Philippines to work abroad not only for me but for my family. It was difficult to start from the scratch and to face new environment but this is what I want so I need to deal with it. I worked as a sales associate in a company of Arabic sweets. My employer did not follow what has been said in my contract that I’ve signed from the agency. The salary and benefits are totally different. It was less than what has been offered. Can’t do something about it that time as my employer is one of the local Emirati with has a strong influence in the city. I just obeyed them and work hard from the bottom of my heart because I’ve said to myself that I cannot achieve my dreams if I will not love my work. In Gods great guidance I’ve finished my contract. Then go back home to have my vacation. I decided to comeback again and work in a restaurant as a server, unfortunately the company closed and they let us find new job. Luckily got a new job in a restaurant as well. I’ve started as a cashier cum server that after a months I’ve promoted as a team leader then eventually become Restaurant Supervisor acting Manager! Having big responsibilities motivates me to become more productive and continue to learn new things which help me to prove to myself that I can do much more than I know. Gaining knowledge every moment is my greatest achievements! I’ve learned a lot how to survive and live abroad according to their rules and how to manage my earnings in a proper way. I’ve enjoyed my life because I’ve been able to help my family with their needs. But my dream will not stop till here, I’ve said to myself that I need to do something more, something that will keep my dreams called life!!!

December 07, 2018by: Marissa Cnab - IrelandProgram: Work as an Au Pair or Nanny in Italy
I was quite worried about working in Italy as I had never done this type of experience before but Totalnannies inspired confidence and I felt reassured at interview. I was put in touch with a few different host families and clicked with one particular family. Although the language barrier was an issue initially I soon picked up some phrases and by the 1st month I had established a good connection with the kids. The family's home was lovely and they made me feel very welcome. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to spend an extended period of time in Italy
Would do again and would recommend
November 29, 2018by: Bibi Koneca - New ZealandProgram: Work as an Au Pair or Nanny in Italy
Nice job opportunities and nice platform. Great interview process and quick communication with host family. Got a great position and family were really nice. The whole process was easy and clear and I would recommend Totalnannies and especially Harry who dealt with my application. The family's home was amazing and the location was super. I would never have afforded to spend so much time in Italy without this opportunity. I hope to do it again sometime
The application process was fairly simple!
November 23, 2018by: Brooke Thatcher - AustraliaProgram: Jobs and internships in Spain
As there was always someone to inform me or for me to ask if I had any difficulties. Once I arrived to my destination, as they were already expecting me the process was smooth and I was shown where I would be staying and given a brief guide on where and what I would be doing. I greatly enjoyed my internship and the bar work exceeded my expectations. The work was enjoyable and very social as I was able to meet hundreds of people every day and there was events to make things more interesting. Initially I expected to do some basic cooking but much to my surprise as summer started there were fun weekly events such as the barbecue and paella evenings which were held outside on the terrace. As about the accommodation - the room was spacious and included sufficient space for all my belongings and alongside this included a table and some other shelves and drawers and a large floor space. The beds were clean and I was able to change my own sheets whenever I felt necessary. I have definitely achieved my goal which was to develop my Spanish speaking skills. At first I was unable to speak and on some occasions dealing with colleagues and customers proved difficult. But without a doubt I can say I had a fantastic summer and made some amazing friends who I have already planned to meet with again. My Spanish ability is considerably better as I feel confident to hold a conversation on a variety of topics and work in a Spanish speaking environment with minimal problems. The area itself was a beautiful place and on my days off I used the opportunity to visit the tourist sites, but also as I spoke and got to know local people, I discovered lesser known areas such as a nearby fishing spot only 20 minutes away from the city centre. All my expectations were satisfied and even more. The living conditions that the hotel offered us were very good and comfortable. I met people from all over the world and experiences and emotions were wonderful. The experience I gained there was very useful for my future and the profession I have been focusing on.

Au-pairing in Italy
October 05, 2018by: Katerina Ellio - South AfricaProgram: Work as an Au Pair or Nanny in Italy
I got a job with Totalnannies as an au-pair in Italy this summer and I had a great time. The family was sooo welcoming and treated me as part of the family. The kids were just awesome. I am glad I found Totalnannies as they made things easy in what at first I thought was quite daunting trying to find the right family. But going with a company was much easier than going it alone and I hope to be able to try it again some time in the future.
Nice summer program
October 02, 2018by: Karin Elliott - South AfricaProgram: Work as an Au Pair or Nanny in Italy
Got a job this summer in Italy and all in all it was a positive experience. The language barrier was an issue at first but my host family was very helpful and put me in touch with someone who gave me some private Italian classes and I soon picked up the basics. The kids were great and I found the whole experience positive and I have recommended it to my friends. The company was super helpful and answered any questions I had and made the process simple

Loved my host family and the company was easy to deal with and helped to sort out any quries and the 100's of questions I had as this was my first time working abroad. Great to have the back up of a company as it gave me peace of mind. In the end I didn't need any help when over there as my host family was awesome.
I had the best time of my life. Meeting new people was fun for me.

Fantastic experience in Spain
June 30, 2018by: Martha Leblanc - United StatesProgram: Jobs and internships in Spain
If you are looking to improve your Spanish skills, this is the place to go. Bilbao is the safest place I have ever lived in my life. Our group got along great and I really enjoyed making friends with the international students that also attended Instituto Hemingway. Instituto regularly schedules cultural events, and we attended nearly all of them. Languages and traveling are probably two of my favorite things in life so I absolutely had the time of my life studying abroad and am making plans to return (hopefully to live) as soon as possible. Bilbao is a great city for making new friends and trying new things. During my time in Spain I explored cultural differences and their social and historical causes and my knowledge of the Spanish language increased in a way that it never could have had I not been so utterly immersed in it. Travelling around Spain and Europe in general is so cheap! Please do it and have your headquarters in Bilbao in Northern Spain
